DJ Baui
DJ Baui discovered Brazilian Zouk in 2011, after coming from the Salsa and Bachata scene. What first drew him in was the wide range of music that can become “zoukable” — from soft acoustic sounds to unexpected rhythms and high-energy tracks.
With a strong musical background and years of playing instruments, Baui soon found his place not only on the dance floor, but also behind the DJ booth. He started playing locally for students and friends, and later at zouk events across Europe, including Zouktime, Dutch Zouk Congress and Prague Zouk Marathon.
His sets are known for variety, originality and good energy. Instead of relying mostly on pop remixes, Baui loves to work with original songs and unusual musical styles — acoustic music, chill and dubstep influences, RnB, reggae, dance music and Brazilian originals.
For Baui, a DJ set is a journey. He likes to keep dancers comfortable and connected, while also giving them something unexpected — music that invites them to listen, play, explore and enjoy the moment.
